Flight Paths – An Opera
My first opera commission, Flight Paths, composed to a libretto by Adam Strickson, was premiered in Bridlington Spa in September 2011.
The opera formed part of a large project, Wingbeats, of which Adam was the lead artist. The project included a second opera by Cheryl Frances-Hoad entitled Amy’s Last Dive, as well as numerous other dance, poetry and art projects around the East Yorkshire area.
Recently, a book about the project written by Adam himself was released containing DVDs of performances of both operas.
